County Mayo, Ireland
As Ireland's first and only Forbes Five Star Hotel and the former home of the Guinness family, Ashford Castle is truly a once-in-a-lifetime luxurious experience.
Built in 1925, the Lido-Venice, as it was then known, was and remains an excellent example of the Mediterranean revival style.
Every one of our team members is empowered to make a real difference. The Chesterfield is renowned for warm and caring service, generous hospitality and thoughtful touches that ensure our guests always feel comfortable and cared for during their stay.
Exceeding expectations at every turn, we have a passion for traditional hospitality and old-world charm, showcasing beautiful, individually-designed bedrooms and suites, traditional high tea and warm and friendly service.
Executive Chef Gerard Coughlin and his team have created a delicious menu, offering an eclectic mixture of classic American, English, Asian and international dishes, served alongside much-loved signature recipes by our founder Beatrice Tollman including Maryland Style Lump Crab Cakes, Gerard’s Turkey Burger, Shrimp Stroganoff and Key Lime Pie.
"Our beautiful hotel has been part of The Red Carnation Hotel Collection since 1989 and it has been my privilege to be General Manager since 2013. Built in 1925 as the Lido-Venice, The Chesterfield Palm Beach is an excellent example of the Mediterranean revival style. Back then, the local newspaper described it as the most popular place for society and a beautiful addition to Palm Beach.
I am so proud that we have received the AAA Four Diamond Award every year since 2014, which is testament to our long-standing team members in every department. I believe that our guests can truly feel the warmth and genuine care from our team, who will always go above and beyond.
Guests can move from the serene pool area to the center of Palm Beach’s restaurant and nightlife scene, all within The Chesterfield. Palm Beach is a world of its own, with palm trees and ocean providing the perfect backdrop. I recommend that all guests wander the Vias of Worth Avenue, take a trip along Ocean Drive to see the amazing mansions, and take a sunset cruise to see the island of Palm Beach from the intracoastal.
We are deeply committed to protecting our environment while supporting local communities. We are also proud to support the Loggerhead Marinelife Center, and actively participate in weekly beach clean-ups to help save our nesting sea turtles.
We truly look forward to welcoming you to our slice of paradise."
